Airway Management
Our trained staff can support with long-term ventilation (LTV), non-invasive (NIV) and tracheostomy invasive ventilation (TIV).) They can carry out complex interventions.
Support in School
In some instances, we can provide school attending children with support. This aims at ensuring that your child continues to receive support from their regular support staff.
PEG Feeding
Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tubes are used for people who have swallowing problems or who are unable to take enough food.
Accessing the Community
We provide a wide range of support for disabled children and young people in the community. This includes support to access inclusive and positive activities. These are leisure-time activities that are delivered in various creative spaces including arts, sports, recreational.
How we care
Our paediatric care teams are well trained to manage various interventions for children with complex needs. We often work with children living with various health conditions that require specialist care such as mechanical ventilation and complex feeding regimes. This level of needs can emerge from birth related complications, trauma, neurological, genetic or congenital conditions.
Our Comprehensive person-centred plan is drawn up to capture every child’s full range of needs. Based on the present circumstances, we incorporate the relevant specialists plans to ensure that your wishes, preferences and unique interventions are appropriately captured. The plan considers the future evolving the plan to be adoptable and spontaneous. Making changes to what is not working so well in a timely manner to re-organising the full support structure to accommodate any changes in your care is embedded in our ways of working.
Complex care skills, and any necessary expertise is required for all staff looking to support our children. Individual needs specific training can be arranged to enhance staff skills as well as to extend our capacity to take on new children. Once staff are trained, they are given the opportunity to work alongside a more experienced staff member familiar with the child’s needs until they feel confident and everyone is happy that they are competent. Sometimes, that experienced person maybe a member of the child’s family who knows and understand their needs intimately.

This includes receiving alerts for missed tasks or medication that allows the office to make contact immediately. By doing so, we minimise the risk of things going wrong.
